The course is open to individuals who are healthcare providers such as: physicians, nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency. The program highlights the critical role of quality CPR in patient survival, combining efficient basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support measures, and the significance of strong team collaboration and communication during revival efforts. ACLS Course Content Overview: - American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency - Cardiovascular Care - Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device and use of an (AED) - Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest - Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia - Airway management - Related pharmacology - Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke - Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team Course Options: Option 1: ACLS Full Course - Classroom training for first time or students with expired cards. - Class average 8-9 Hours, with 2.5 hours of pre-course work. - CEUs available for most healthcare professions Option 2: ACLS Update / Renewal Course - Classroom training for students with an unexpired card. - Class average 4.5 Hours, with 2.5 hours of pre-course work. - CEUs available for most healthcare professions Option 3: ACLS Online Fast-Track - Online and in-person hybrid for new or renewing students - Includes online access (4 hrs) and instructor-led skills testing (1.5 hrs) - Online access provided in confirmation email - Refunds not available for Fast-Track Courses Option 4: ACLS & PALS 1-Day Renewal - Renewal option for students with unexpired certifications. - Class Length: 1 day; up to 10 hours. - BLS Renewal add-on available. Mandatory Pre-Course Requirements: The AHA requires all students taking ACLS to complete the Pre-Course Self-Assessment and Precourse Work. - After registration students will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to do the Pre-Course Work. - You can take the exam over until a passing grade is achieved. - You MUST print or email a copy of your precourse certificate with your name on it before entering the class.
